If you’re unsure of anything or are trying to decide between options, our team of professionals is on hand to provide you with expert advice and help you maximise your Me Time. Here are some of the questions (and answers) we receive regularly:

Chan Wela Gelish Manis and Pedis use long-lasting shellac nail polish, cured under UV lamps to create spectacular, chip resistant nails. Your nails are first cleaned, filed and shaped before a special base coat is applied. Two coats of shellac introduce the colour vibrancy associated with this form of nail treatment, before a top coat is used to seal and protect your nails.

With regular polish, the top coat will begin to dull after only a few days. With gelish, your shellac polish will look as vibrant and shiny on day 14 as they did on day 1. Your top coat may begin to peel after two weeks but the main issue to look out for is the growth of your nails. As your nails grow they’ll leave an unpolished band near your cuticles.

The 2-step polish application process is fast drying and makes use of chip resistant, colour stay polish to keep your nails bright, colourful and vibrant for 7 days. The lifespan of stay-on nails can be extended beyond 7 days with additional top coats.

Reflexology is a system of foot massage used to relieve tension and relax the entire body. Finger pressure, kneading and rubbing are used to access your body’s energy pathways through the reflex points in your feet.

There are a number of facial techniques and treatments available to you, each with their own specific focal areas and benefits. All of them use massage to improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. The facial massage is also used to relax facial muscles, slowing the onset of wrinkles, clearing puffiness and reducing sagging. Various cleansers and scrubs are applied to help purge the skin of toxins, open the pores and rejuvenate the skin.

Our top tip: Exfoliate your skin before you wax (we can assist with great products for this) to get rid of dead skin and release trapped hairs that can be forced back into the skin during waxing.

Absolutely ! When waxed, instead of shaved, hair grows back longer, softer and shinier. Think Hemsworth meets Jackman…

Yes, but a professional will drastically reduce the pain involved. If you’re still nervous, ask about our numbing cream for a little added relief.

If you have coarse hair it should be closer to 1/2-inch for the first few waxes. Once the hair becomes finer it can be waxed at a shorter length. If your hair is longer, I recommend shaving the area and booking your waxing appointment for two to three weeks later.
